Visited by chance as just passing by. And so glad we did as so many competing cafes along Balham High Road and a lot more further along in Tooting. ! Had the all day breakfast - the Set 2 choice which included full English with toast and coffee (or tea) at no extra cost. As did my companions. And all this for under £12. The food was far from greasy. The beacon lean, the sausages tasty, the tomatoes, mushrooms, eggs all cooked to perfection. Certainly one of the best cooked breakfasts I've enjoyed in a long time! Service attentive and polite. Well done The Golden Cafe!

Perfect place if you want to eat breakfast prepared with passion. Guys working here are very helpful and polite. They really care about customer, place is clean, food fresh and well prepared. Notice those chips. Believe me or not but I’ve never ate better than those. Elsewhere in UK chips taste as sh (except one other place in Ewel) but NOT IN THIS PLACE. They are really fresh!

Portions were really generous, and the food was cooked really well. Nice and simple menu, plenty of options, everything you want from you local cafe. They had a high chair for our little one and the staff are really friendly. Would definitely recommend, and we will be back soon. We had the sunrise breakfast and the cod and chips for brunch.

I went for the full English and thoroughly enjoyed a meal that was well cooked, fresh ingredients and plenty of it! So definitely got my moneys worth. The staff were very friendly and obliging. It is not pretentious and does not charge service which makes a nice change. If you want pleasant but fairly basic surroundings with good food and plenty of choice, do go and try it out. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Delicious food with very generous portion sizes! Excellent service from our waiter who was very attentive. Reasonably priced with toast and coffee included with breakfast. Excellent no-frills cafe.

Very nice food, I would highly recommend this Cafe. The portion size was probably the best I've had not just in London but the South East. If your after a proper full English this is the spot. Thanks Legend
